MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday left for a three-day state visit in Cambodia.
Marcos was invited by His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni. The trip serves as a reciprocal visit following Prime Minister Hun Manet’s trip to Manila last February.
“We have seen dynamism in the partnership between the Philippines and Cambodia across key sectors. These sectors include defense and security, trade, agriculture, heritage preservation, among others,” Marcos said during his send-off ceremony at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

“So, during my visit, I will discuss ways to further diversify our cooperation and strengthen our intra-Asean relationships and exchanges by capitalizing on our complementary strengths in the face of global economic headwinds,” he added.
The President’s first order of business upon his arrival in Phnom Penh is a meeting with the Filipino community there.
